Today I called my non profit for the Philadelphia cultural fund. When I called I spoke to a woman named Diane who gave me some very helpful information. One of the first questions I asked Diane was what their nonprofit was all about. She said that they are trying to supply people with their tools for grants in one location. What the program is all about is all of the arts and it’s a very broad overview. She talked about how if people qualify and meet their guidelines they wouldn’t have access to the grants that they have in place. And not only are they grants to their organization but also through the city of Philadelphia. The next question I asked her was what she would change about the website. She informed me that the website was going through a makeover and would launch at the beginning of next year. So I then asked her what were some of the changes that would vary from the current design. Basically they’re working to place more images on their website to help show people the message with visuals. Also they are going to include some info graphics and all in all make their website look more up to date. Another important question that me and Diane discussed was, why does she think the website needs to be updated? She went on to talk about how she feels like it does not accurately represent what their all about, she feels as if the website needs to look more like it was made in 2019 without appearing too flashy since they are still a nonprofit.
The nonprofit that I decided to reach out to was WOAR ( women organized against rape). When I called i was connected to one of the hotline workers who did not give her name. I then explained to her my reason for calling and reaching out to the organization. I did grt to ask her one of my questions which was what she wanted her website to broadcast. She then replied that it was trying to deliver some of the events and things that the nonprofit offers. Also she began to discuss some of the other services that they have that can be found on the website. When i went to ask my next question which was more design related I then was transferred to the person who was in charge of designing the website and I received no answer but left a message.
The last non profit that I reached out to was Urban Affairs Coalition Which went exactly like WOAR. When I called I was connected to someone who worked at the front desk.Once I gave them my name and my purpose for calling they then connected me to the person who is in charge of the website. The phone rang and I was then greeted by an answering machine, I left a message and I am still waiting on a response.
